Lipmann Kessel Annual Scientific Meeting

Annual Scientific Meeting for North West Thames Orthopaedic Rotation

The Lipmann Kessel Annual Scientific Meeting is an annual highlight for the North West Thames Orthopaedic rotation. It is hosted at the Sir Michael Uren Hub, Imperial College London. The meeting provides an opportunity for trainees and alumni to gather for an exemplary day of talks by eminent surgeons, with an opportunity for trainees to present their research for the coveted Lipmann Kessel Day Prize.

The programme usually includes aspects of the curriculum that may be difficult for trainees to access such as research methodologies, or Good Clinical Practice. All consultants from the rotation who contribute to training are invited to attend the day itself . A guest speaker of interest is invited to deliver the keynote lecture during the academic day, which is selected by the committee of the rotation.

North West Thames Orthopaedic Rotation Annual Dinner

Highlight of the Social Calendar

A highlight of the evening is the after-dinner speech delivered by a distinguished guest of honour. Last year, we were privileged to welcome Miss Alison Hulme, who captivated attendees with her insightful and engaging remarks on the rotation. Her presence added a special touch to the event, inspiring and motivating all in attendance.

As we eagerly anticipate this year's annual dinner, we look forward to another memorable evening filled with laughter, camaraderie, and appreciation for the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in the North West Thames Orthopaedic rotation.
